The Lizzie Bennet Diaries is a new webseries I’m quite in love with.
This short film of a book being assembled with traditional printing methods, created for the UK’s Daily Telegraph, is a beautiful little snapshot of the printing process, so simple and lovely it seems almost like a dance. (via Flavourwire)

Whohohooooa this looks pretty cool! I am wary of gimmicky bookmarks because I am a crotchety change-hating geezer deep inside, but this one looks neat and useful.

Guys, is “The Fault in Our Stars” really that good?
Because ”Looking for Alaska” really disappointed me.
But I don’t know if it was the book’s fault or my inflated expectations.
…?

She wrote, “This book gives me more information about penguins than I care to have.”
American diplomat Hugh Gibson called it the finest piece of literary criticism he had ever read.

“Nevertheless, what you find in the greatest works of literature often involves some or all of the following: the high quality of the language, complexity of theme and detail, universality, depth and quality of feeling, memorableness, rereadability … When you read works of this quality you often feel, and continue to feel, that your internal planes have shifted, and that things will never, quite, be the same again.”
